Metal Detecting

Stile Teckel Metal Detecting in SC

If you’ve lost something and are looking for help to find it, start by going to Facebook and searching for Metal Detecting Groups in your state. You’re likely to find a local group where volunteers offer their services for free. If you can’t find anyone willing to help at no cost, consider The Ring Finders, who, despite their name, help locate any metal items and have members listed by city.

I’ve had personal experience with The Ring Finders, where I advertised my services, conducted searches, and successfully returned items to their owners. I eventually stopped advertising there due to being on call 24/7. Generally, I prefer to have at least a few hours, if not a day or more, notice before I mobilize my equipment.

I am a professional Metal Detectorist offering my services. I am also Scuba Dive certified, allowing me to detect underwater. I believe in learning from experts, having taken a lesson from Gary Drayton, known from “The Curse of Oak Island” TV show and an ambassador for Minelab. I have experience detecting in various terrains and weather conditions, ensuring readiness for any job.

I possess some of the best equipment for metal detecting, scuba diving, hiking, and camping, offering top-tier services. I’m open to being filmed and can provide someone to document the process if required for your project.

Based in Mishawaka, Indiana, I expect most inquiries to be local, though I frequently spend time in Southern Michigan. I’m open to traveling across the U.S., or even internationally, with adequate notice, expense coverage, and appropriate compensation. Payment is customized based on travel, geography, terrain, and weather.

I’m also open to arrangements where I work for a share of any valuable finds. Typically, a property owner grants permission for detecting, with the agreement that any finds are shown to them, items without value can be kept by the detectorist, and valuable items are sold with profits split 50/50. This could be feasible if you’re within a few hours’ drive and your property has potential for treasure.

Given my involvement in selling treasures, I can also facilitate sales of finds, potentially reducing costs associated with resellers.

For any job we agree on, I will provide a written agreement for us to sign, which could include an NDA if necessary for your situation.
